Requirements for a Conservation Partnership with Toucan Rescue Ranch
TRR is seeking partnerships with institutions that uphold the highest standards in animal welfare and conservation
Accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) or the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA), partners are recognized for maintaining high standards in animal care and conservation.
Institutions with an established conservation program that provides financial support to international wildlife projects are encouraged to join us in protecting biodiversity beyond borders.
Conservation Partners must meet USDA or equivalent country standards, ensuring the welfare of animals in their care aligns with industry regulations.
Institutions must uphold ethical practices by avoiding involvement in the illegal pet trade and refraining from promoting harmful wildlife interactions.
Partner institutions should offer engaging educational programs led by professionals—such as zoologists, biologists, or educators—to foster public awareness and support for wildlife conservation.
Having a licensed veterinarian on staff is essential to maintain the highest standard of care for all animals.
The partnership requires a vetting process with TRR, followed by a formal agreement on using branding, financial commitments, and marketing materials.
Joint marketing materials will undergo a peer review process, ensuring both institutions are accurately represented and unified in their conservation messaging.
Partner institutions must contribute $10,000 or more annually, either through monetary or in-kind donations, meeting the TOUCAN BADGE sponsorship level or higher.
